G.URL magazine is run by Jenny O'Connor who initiated the project as part of her final major project at university. Without a formal business structure or team, Jenny runs G.URL as a solo project, which has quickly gained traction on TikTok, attracting a broad audience with its unique take on fashion, gaming and culture.
As G.URL is a solo project, I appreciate the interest in wanting to work for the magazine. However, I do not accept CVs or have any active job openings.
As the magazine is currently a solo project, it is produced bi-annually.
No! At G.URL Magazine, we are dedicated to showcasing underrepresented voices in the gaming and online culture, with a special emphasis on women. Additionally, we highlight individuals who share a connection with the feminine experience in the digital realm.
At present, the magazine operates independently, without any external financial support. It's also important to highlight that the magazine is run by one person. As a result, the magazine is welcome to free contributions.
Our submissions are permanently open for our digital section on our site: G.URL Online. If you would like to contribute to our print run, we operate during specific open submission periods. These typically take place approximately 2-3 months before the scheduled print magazine release. You can find out when G.URL is open for submissions over on the magazine's social media.
For more information on how you can submit to G.URL, check out our submissions page.
Furthermore, we are inclusive and accept contributions from individuals of all gender identities and sexual orientations, provided that the content aligns with G.URL's mission and voice.
We ship to selected countries in Europe, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, China, Japan - and the United Kingdom, where we're based.
